»If you prefer to talk about the things you make as projects instead of artworks, if you prefer to talk about turns instead of changes, and especially, if you are one of those contemporary-art-lingo-junkies always in search of new ways of expressing yourself, then this is the book for you.«

Based on a true story.

Tragovi exists like the shimmering relic of some shamanistic ritual or communion with the divine. The Risograph printed, fold-out pages open up to unveil several possible readings of a single image. The relationships between the pulsating images continually metamorphose as a result. New meaning is assigned to a conventional world that is forced upon us from the moment of birth. An alternative view is proposed. We are invited to engage in a reawakening; to consider new interpretations of everything around us. With multi-layered images that obscure with the same power as they reveal, Tragovi challenges a defunct, tired state of consciousness. These pictures persist in our memory and linger in our minds as if to demand of us if we're actually awake or only existing in a dream.

Included skaters: Shingo Ogura, Laurence Keefe, Katsumi Minami, Seimi Miyahara, Honda, Valerie Rosomako, Malte Spitz, Nils Brauer, Louis Taubert, Koichiro Uehara, Fritz Mead, Jon Nguyen, Ryan Kehrer, Maoz Trudler, Hannes Schilling.

»Things do not exist the way we perceive it, but in relation to and rely on one another. Artists bring about the conjugations of things, breaking usual meanings, and mobilize the seemingly rigid and solid world. In this exhibition, our artists present their contemporary works of different media, photography, installation, drawing and painting, to explore the ideas hindered by the hardness of things, and to tell the rock how to relax.«

»Thrown into the Sea« is an artists’ book by Franziska Brandt and Moritz Grünke. »Thrown into the Sea« is a reflection to Lawrence Weiner’s artpiece »One Standard Air Force Dye Marker Thrown Into The Sea« he published in 1968. »Thrown into the Sea« consists of 23 risograph prints showing close-ups of the Risograph print raster and a letter by Weiner to On Kawara.

»Lawrence Weiner’s text piece ›One Standard Air Force Dye Marker Thrown into the Sea‹ (1968) puts the position of the artist on the agenda. One year later, in 1969, the American artist actually did throw a dye marker – a small sack of red color that, in the event a US World War II pilot being downed over the sea, would repel sharks and mark his position – into the sea during his exhibition at the Nova Scotia College of Art in Halifax. In a TV interview he explained that ›there is no art involved […]. You could have thrown it, practically anybody else could have thrown it.‹« — Jörg Heiser

Diogenes is an artists book by ShoboShobo (Mehdi Hercberg), designed by Alexander Fuchs and published by Gloria Glitzer. On 50 pages it shows marker drawings and water colours riso printed in black on white and colored papers. Size: 26.5x18cm, Edition of 150

»Mehdi Hercberg is a Paris-based artist and illustrator whose sobriquet, Shoboshobo, is Japanese for ›gloomy‹. His images are likewise pessimistic: lumpy-bodied dispirited people and other anthropomorphic figures who interact anxiously and sometimes violently with one another. In this risograph printed publication, Shoboshobo pays homage to his glum precursor, the cynic philosopher Diogenes who slept in barrel and lived a stoic lifestyle that involved defecating and masturbating in the public marketplace.« (Printed Matter)

»J.G.P.C.« is an artzine showing drawings and pictures by Jay Gard. This Publication was developed in close cooperation with Gloria Glitzer.

»The objects of Jay Gard illustrate provocatively a bypass of the different context; they are located at a crossroad of art and usefulness. This is probably the reason why his work has the capability to function in an existing everyday environment; his work is not solely meant to span a privileged space. His work is equal to us and to the objects, which we are familiar with regarding character and dimension. In a sense this character trait could be described as being social, yet at the same time anarchistic. The only now discovered functionality of an alleged furniture mutates instantaneously into a space and confronts us with a sculpture, with the fact of being art. « — Franziska Brandt
